This mama heart of mine...

October is in fully swing...

I guess I always know this because my birthday is on the 11th...please don't remind me how I'm 35 this year.  I just returned from my Indiana trip.  What a great weekend at homecoming for my college!  I ran a 5k in the morning and a nocturnal 5k that night which went through the woods and had various obstacles!  I also got to visit with several college friends who I haven't seen in awhile as well as attend my cheerleading reunion.  I haven't always been sure of Grace since graduating, but I will say, they have come a long way since I graduated, and the inside glimpse I got, the college is making huge strides in making a difference in outreach and reaching the lives of others both students and the community for Christ.  The campus is gorgeous!  If only they had half the facilities they have now when I was a student!  I also was impressed how they have lightened up on some rules that for us just never made sense.  I got excited most when I saw the direction the cheerleading program is taking.  With 21 girls this year, they are under the direction of a new coach who is all about Jesus!  I've had past coaches be about Jesus and serving the Lord, but this coach is amazing~!  She is very passionate about the program, and since she is a sahm to the cutest little boy "chubby"  and a daughter who is middle school age (I think), she has the time to pour into the program which is always awesome.  I've since started correspondence with her and am working with her to support all the program is about.

The college is also under a new president who I got to meet while there.  He's very down to earth and his wife is so much fun to hang out with!  I ran across her at the cheerleading reunion and later learned who she was...what a sweet fun loving lady to be around!

Outside of homecoming, I spent time with family and of course, my closest IPS buds.  It's tradition to get together with them of course!
We did our usual, dinner and hanging out, but we added a fun craft in and made burlap wreaths.  What an adventure that was for poor Ashley as she had to also entertain her almost 2 year old while doing it!

I also celebrated my adorable niece's birthday while there!  She will be 2 later this month.  We got her a baby doll stroller and baby doll pack n play, and she's in heaven putting her baby to bed and pushing her around!  I of course also had to get her an adorable fluffy skirt and shirt!  The aunt in me is having fun with this girl!

Since being back, I have hit the ground running with my cleaning business.  I am off today, but I'm busy making flyers for the fall festival I am heading up for our neighborhood as well as getting ready for my birthday celebration tonight by cleaning of course!  The house is in good shape so it's not taking much.

Hope your day is off to a good start!

Stephani
