Where we are Today...

Had a few people ask, so I thought I'd share..

What exactly are we up to?

T is still with NCR...he is pursuing further tests to get extra certifications in hopes of getting a higher paying job in the next year.

I quit teaching to be home with monkey man more, and I work 3 days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  These are the days monkey attends MDO, and I clean.  My cleaning business is in full swing and I'm often booked solid all 3 days, sometimes on Saturday mornings too.  The more word spreads, the more I get calls.  I also do move out cleans occasionally.  They are not my favorite, but I do make good money at them.  My business is called Stephani Sparkles.  I love what I do, and I most definitely love being home with monkey man after 2 pm each day and all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cohen is almost 4.  He's growing quickly.  He is currently looking forward to our Disney Land trip in November.  He is very smart and active and loves the outdoors like his mama! He's also shown some perfectionism tendencies like his mama...oh dear.

In late April, we moved into our house!  We bought a fixer upper, and so far, we have painted every wall, laid all new flooring (hard woods throughout and carpet in the bedrooms), redone the guest bath, and started the backyard landscaping.  There is still lots to do, but the house looks tons better already!

I'm still running, and I also do kickboxing and boxing 4-5 days a week.  I am staying around the same weight but proud that I've not gone backwards.  I'll be attending my college homecoming cheer alumni event next week, so I look forward to seeing old friends and family.

We are attending Frisco Bible Church, where I am part of a moms group.  We are part of a small group as well, and we have made some awesome friends in it!  FBC has been a huge blessing, and we only continue to grow!  My biggest growth is coming through teaching the 3s sunday school class.

T and I have also started an "unofficial" HOA in our neighborhood and we host parties for the whole neighborhood once a month on our front lawn.  Our first one was last month and it was a hit.  We are currently planning for one in late October.  The neighbors are loving it especially since we are one of the very few neighborhoods in Frisco without a HOA.

We are definitely settling into life in Texas, but we will always be Louisiana people in the heart....

until later...

Stephani
