Well, as many of you know, Louisiana was my first stable environment after my divorce. It was hard to leave, and I have been missing my friends a lot. However, I know God moved us here for a reason, and He continues to open doors for us here and show us His reasons.
I will start with jobs...T went into work today, and his boss promoted him to a level 2, and he will start working on ATMS. It means more training in Atlanta, so this fall will mean lots of trips to Atlanta, but in the long run, it means more money for us and set hours, so it is a good thing. Plus, he got his company vehicle sooner than they thought. I know NCR has great things in store for T and he will continue to do great!
I also landed a job teaching hs special education in an inner city school in Dallas. I start August 10. I will teach until monkey man is in first grade, then we plan to homeschool. The goal is to pay off student loans and some debt and save for a bigger house. I am excited, as this position is the same type of position I had in New Orleans.
Secondly, I have been attending church playgroups and I am getting to know lots of moms. Last night, although exhausted, I attended the women's group, and I am so glad I did. They could tell I was struggling with this transition, and they lovingly wrapped their arms around me, encouraged me, and they prayed for me. It was so encouraging. They honestly have been fantastic!
This past Sunday, we attended our first care group meeting, and it was amazing how God perfectly placed us with a great group who is understanding and already loving on us!
Plus, church has been amazing! The sermons have seriously hit everything on the nail lately...we are overwhelmed with God's greatness and how well Cohen and Mocha have adjusted!
Thank you for your prayers...we know we are right where God wants us to be!
Having moved around a lot myself, I should not be surprised by God's grace in new situations, but I usually am. Thankful for you to have found a good church and a good group of women so quickly!
